Ever since I can remember, I have always had a fascination with how things work, whether it be fixing broken appliances in my home or asking my parents to buy IKEA flatpacks just so I could build them.

I was raised in a Christian household and always knew of Jesus but didn’t have a personal relationship with him. In 2023 at a Christian youth festival, I had an amazing encounter with the Holy Spirit which led to me growing deeper in my faith and learning to become more like Jesus. It was this same festival where I first heard about MAF and signed up for the youth magazine. However, I had no idea at that point that it was what God was calling me into.

Two years later, I was in the process of applying for university and nothing felt quite right until I came across the engineering training scheme with MAF whilst reading through the latest magazine. The thought that I could combine my love for engineering with my love for Christ and use my skills to serve his kingdom felt too good of an opportunity to be true. It was two weeks before the deadline, but I knew that God wanted me to apply; throughout the application process, I felt such peace and God continued to show me that His hand was upon it.

I am so grateful to be taking this new challenge and believe God is going to do great things!
